Beri Brown
INSTRUCTOR
Beri Brown is a native Houstonian and BCH/HRB alumna. Beri earned her BA in psychology from Boston University and her MA and PhD in brain and behavior psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. Beri worked as a character performer for over 13 years at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. While dancing at Disney, her roles included the shows: High School Musical 2: School’s Out, High School Musical 3: Now or Never, Celebrate the Season Castle Show; and the parades: Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Festival of Fantasy, and Block Party Bash. Since returning to Houston, Beri has taught ballet, jazz, pointe, and musical theatre at a variety of studios throughout the city including: The Institute of Contemporary Dance, The Humphrey School of Musical Theatre, Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, The Houston Metropolitan Dance Center, and The Theatre Under the Stars community engagement program. Beri also found a passion for teaching fitness classes, including barre, spin, trampoline cardio, dance cardio, and myofascial release ball rolling. She is also trained in Progressing Ballet Technique.
