Jared Matthews was born in Houston and received his early ballet training there under the guidance of Victoria Vittum and Gilbert Rome. In 2001 Mr. Matthews joined American Ballet Theatre Studio Company. He became a soloist in August of 2007. Mr. Matthews was a student and protege of David Howard. He joined the SpaceCraft Entertainment Agency in 2013. As a guest artist Mr. Matthews has appeared with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Les Ballet GranDiva, and the Noriko Hara Ballet Company. His repertoire includes leading roles in classical ballets as well as works by Elo, Tharp, Kylian, Barton, Ratmansky, Wheeldon, Forsythe and Millepied. Jared is now the Assistant to the Artistic Director of the Estonian National Ballet.
