Dear Students and Parents,
We are excited to announce our second annual summer ballet camp for students ages 7-11. The summer camp will take place June 20-24 with a theme that will follow the classical ballet, Swan Lake. Students will get the opportunity to practice ballet technique and learn and perform choreography from the Swan Lake ballet. Students will practice Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., with a short performance for family and friends on Friday afternoon.

In addition to ballet activities, the Swan Lake camp offers arts and crafts sessions where the students get to participate in fun and educational arts projects. Art teacher Barbie Koy will return this year to instruct the students in various art projects that relate to the Swan Lake ballet.

Ballet Center of Houston is proud to bring back our summer ballet camp for young beginners or previously trained dancers. Last years successful Cinderella Camp inspired the recreation of the camp but with a new theme. BCH parent Marjorie Westmoreland is pleased that the Swan Lake Camp is on the schedule again. Mrs. Westmoreland remembers how much her two daughters Julia and Marjorie enjoyed last years Cinderella Camp, and is excited for her girls to get the chance to participate again this summer.

Mark your calendars to attend the Swan Lake Ballet Camp! We will have to two age groups and would like to have them both filled, so please invite friends and cousins to participate as well. Remember that students do not need previous training to take part in the camp. More information will be available as the summer approaches.
Thank you!
