Kaitlyn Blake began training with Ballet Center of Houston six years ago when she desired to focus her dance training on ballet. She has been a company member of Houston Repertoire Ballet for five years and performed such variations as Soldier Doll, Arabian, and Mirliton in The Nutcracker, Big Swan in Swan Lake, and a Victorian Doll and Tidyshire Doll in the premiere production of Racketty-Packetty House. Additionally, she had the role of the nanny in Peter Pan, Ballet Hawaii’s partner production with Washington Ballet’s previous Artistic Director, Septime Webre. Her summer training experiences include Ballet Magnificat!, Houston Ballet, Ballet Hawaii, and Tulsa Ballet.
Kaitlyn enjoys teaching the Saturday Level K class along with assisting other teachers in their classes. Her goals include achieving a B.F.A. in dance and pedagogy with aspirations to perform professionally and teach in the future.
